Margaret A. Lloyd: Biographical Information

Margaret A. Lloyd received her B.A. (psychology) from the University of Denver and her M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Arizona. She is the author of Adolescence (1985, Harper & Row) and co-author (with Wayne Weiten) of Psychology Applied to Modern Life (1991, 1994, 2008, 2000, 2003, 2006, 2009; Wadsworth).

Dr. Lloyd has served as chair of the psychology departments at Suffolk University and Georgia Southern University and is the founding Chair of the Council for Undergraduate Psychology Programs. She is a past President of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (Division 2 of the American Psychological Association) and past Executive Director of the Society's Office of Teaching Resources in Psychology. She is a fellow of Divisions 1 and 2 of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Lloyd is Emerita Professor and former Head of the Department of Psychology at Georgia Southern University and a recipient of that institution's Award for Excellence for Contributions to Instruction.
